LET'S EXPLORE THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF INDONESIAN SPICES

   "The country of “Zâbaj” (Srivijaya) in the Al Hind (Nusantara) archipelago. It's a grand and big country. Its capital has fortress with for main gates. Zabaj is well-know as a country of gold. There are some mountain which contain mines of gold and copper. From there, copper are transported to the Middle East countries. In Zabaj there are “al-qurunful” (clove), “al-jûz” (nutmeg), and many kind of fragrant food such as “al-shandal” (sandalwood) and “syaham al-thayyib” (perfume oil)."

Collaboration of Indonesian Spices:
A digital exhibition as a part of Spice Routes program held by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, presents various of collection and information of historical heritage and spice culture in some area/city within Indonesian Spice Routes.
This exhibition present the result of collaboration of some museums, institution, and community in Indonesia who always actively tend to the memory of Indonesian Spice history in the shape of artefacts, archive files and manuscripts, memorabilia object and audio, graphic images and some tales which can be enjoyed by its visitor all over Indonesia.
Through this exhibition, we will reminisce once more about the Tale of Spice Routes to respect the history of Indonesian Spice for the prosperity of Indonesia in the future.
